Locum GPs cannot pension work until the practice approves their Locum A form. PCSE also expects 2025/26 Type 2 forms in November 2026.

From 1 Oct 2026 practices can claim locum GP sessions under the practice level GP reimbursement scheme and pass entitlement to another practice.

PCSE now approves GP employment changes automatically
Practices and ICBs no longer approve GP employment change notifications in PCSE Online. GPs still need to submit them, and pension forms still matter.
