## What's changed

- Since the end of March 2026, every employment change notification from a GP performer is approved automatically in PCSE Online. Practices and ICBs no longer have to confirm them.
- Notifications submitted up to 27 March 2026 that were still waiting for practice or ICB approval were due to be cleared by mid-April 2026.
- PCSE says the aim is to cut admin and stop approval delays from holding up GP pension deductions at year end.

## Who it affects

GP practices in England that take on, lose or change the role of a GP on the performers list, and the GPs themselves.

## What to do

- Remind GPs joining, leaving or changing role at your practice that they must still submit an employment change notification in PCSE Online.
- Watch for PCSE prompts to submit a Pensions Joiner or Pensions Leaver form, which start or stop pension deductions.
- Submit those pension forms promptly so deductions match the GP's actual employment.
- Remove any local step in your joiner and leaver checklist that waits for practice approval in PCSE Online.
