## What's changed

- The GMS global sum goes from £123.34 to £130.07 per weighted patient from 1 April 2026, a 5.5% uplift covering pay and expenses.
- PMS and APMS practices get the same net uplift of £6.73 per weighted patient, usually based on list size at 1 January 2026. ICBs are asked to update local contracts as soon as possible.
- The BMA says the DDRB award for GPs is 3.5% and flows through this global sum figure, so the uplift will not need to be paid in arrears this year.

## Who it affects

GMS, PMS and APMS practices in England, and PCNs, whose 2026/27 Network Contract DES payments were set out in the same guidance.

## What to do

- Check your April payments reflect £130.07 per weighted patient, or the £6.73 uplift if you hold a PMS or APMS contract.
- If you hold a PMS or APMS contract with an agreed out of hours deduction, check it now matches the GMS figure of 4.70%, or £6.11 per weighted patient.
- Ask your ICB when your local contract variation will be issued if it has not arrived.
- PCNs: check core PCN funding is paid at £3.059 per patient a year and Enhanced Access at £8.903 per adjusted patient.
